Symptoms of Anorexia Nervosa:
- Refusal to maintain body weight at or above a minimally normal weight for height, body type, age and activity level
- Intense fear of weight gain or being "fat"
- Feeling "fat" or overweight despite dramatic weight loss
- Loss of menstrual periods in girls and women post-puberty
- Extreme concern with body weight and shape
Symptoms of Bulimia:
- Consumes large amounts of food in a short time
- Purges through vomiting, laxatives, diuretics or exercising
- Fasting or strict dieting
- Withdrawal after meals or planning meals to allow for purging
- Severe mood swings
Symptoms of Binge Eating Disorder:
- Recurrent episodes of binge eating
- Lacks control over eating
- Eats when not hungry
- Isolates to eat
- Frequent attempts and failure at weight loss
